First aid fun and games in the forest
You can definitely tell the season is changing, especially on day 2 of our outdoor first aid courses when we head outside to practice first aid scenarios. The casualties were very glad to be given some insulation and shelter by their first aiders!
This time we were in Kirkby, Merseyside working with 'students' training with Forest School Experiences to become Forest School Practitioners as well as a few other outdoorsey folk from Mersey Forest, Newground and Birkdale High School.
The timing was perfect for our outdoor session on day 2 with the strong winds gone, we even managed to stay fairly dry.
Thanks for a great 2 days guys, it was lovely to meet and work with you all. Stay safe in the woods and out on the skislopes....and for those that need it good luck with all your forest school assignments still to come.
Many thanks to Grahame for arranging such lovely food for us too, warm lunch on both days, what a treat :-)!
