A very practical day with lots of information and strategies to use in first aid situations
A really enjoyable and fun day working with another group of Lake District National Park Volunteers. It is always fascinating to hear about the wide range of activities they get involved in including guiding walks, patrols on foot and by boat, fixing the fells and looking after Osprey chicks. All passed the course with confidence and are now well prepared for the rest of the season.
We even had some sunshine at the end of the days training, rewarding us with the most gorgeous views from our venue at Blencathra Centre near Keswick.
Here some feedback from the day:
‘The presentation was excellent and geared towards making it stick in your memory; the practice situations were really useful and relevant’
‘A very practical day with lots of information and strategies to use in first aid situations. As I have previously done the 3 day course this was a really good refresher course to remind me what to do. The course was presented really well and Andrea did a great job – thank you.’
